Art of Toono, 2006 Three color projector lights on canvas 6 x 8 Meters with an early oil painting on the wall in studio show room. I named this painting The Skylight Toono - Horizon-5, 1980. Oil on burlap 120 x 120 cm. The Artist's Collection, New York. The idea for this painting came from the Toono. I would commune with the constellations through this skylight. Particularly on a summer's night the view of the sky through the 'Ger' yurt's skylight would bring home the vastness of the universe. That is spiritual nourishment! |
